Name of your website?

Penfishingrods.com

Your name?

Michael Di Pippo

Your Location (city, etc)

New York

Ab

World's smallest fishing rods and reels

I'm an entrepreneur & would love to promote the great sport of fishing!

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2007 - A fishing web site

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name reflects the product I manufacture

i.e Pen fishing rods, because they are just 8" long when closed & when the cap is removed, it telescopes open to reveal a full 4' 9" & they fit anywhere you would like to put them!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

These are the only type of pen fishing rods manufactured.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To provide a great service for beginners & avid anglers alike.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far we went international. Things look great!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would open factories all over the US to provide jobs for our citizens

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I wish it got too big! I would have to pay your company to advertise for me.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Our web site shipping calculator was charging only $5.99 local S & H fees even though it was going out of the US

What has been your biggest challenge?

Creating the site. Now it's growing legs & walking on its own

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

my youtube.com video. here is is to view at your leisure or to post on your site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcvXbbUxoWk

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is more difficult. I thought it would be maintenance free. I was sadly mistaken. Things are looking up though.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Since 2007, the site will continue to grow. If the business flunks, so will I.

When will I become a millionaire?

Perhaps never! I will have fun trying though! :)

What is your website address?
