BiminiTops.biz Interview

Name of your website?

BiminiTops.biz

Your name?

Daniel Duke

Your Location (city, etc)

Vincent, Alabama 35178

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We offer Bimini tops for boats. We have sizes from 50" wide up to 103" Wide.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I was inspired to create my website because: I have been in the business for 15 years locally. Every on kept telling me how difficult it was to find a quality Bimini top at a reasonable price. 90% of Bimini tops on he market have a mark up of about 500% I knew I could sell the same product for less. I know most people can pay what most os the "well known" online bimini top retailers are asking.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched my first web site in 1995, maybe 1998. I cant really remember. It was when Web Tv came out. a While back. It was a how to website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I decided on a name based on the products I sell.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

What makes my website different fro others is basically, Price, We do Our best to have the best price.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My eventual goal is to have a very successful business

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

my investment of time and money balances out well. We just started this year with with he website and it is doing well.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would hire someone to build my site...lol I have benn working on it myself, Designing my website, publishing my web site, taking orders, processing orders, answering the phone, dealing with customers.. whew...

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes i could. I have distributors who can keep up with my supply and demand.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Headaches: dealing with these shipping companies.. These guy almost destroy these packages. Thank goodness for insurance.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge has been building my website..

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I would have to say the using Google AdWords for advertising has been the most successful avenue for acquiring customers (most expensive too!)

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It hasn't really, actually it runs smoother than I thought.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This website is here to stay, I plan on having the largest website on the net for Bimini Tops.

Would you sell your website?

I m not intending on selling my website, But I am a business man. If there is enough zero's in the offer.. everything is for sale. Thanks Guy This Has been Great..

What is your website address?
