Local fishing charters in Erie, Pennsylvania reported an increase in the number of booked fishing trips, which is rather surprising given the drop in 2008 due to the economic toil.

So what boosted the figure? According to some charter owners, it is probably because fishers would rather fish at home than somewhere more than a hundred miles away.
