The Galapagos is perfect for mountain climbing as I've climbed this mountain before. I also highly recommend taking the advice of the author when they say make sure you have experience before climbing Cotopaxi. I climbed the mountain and looking back on the experience, it was very difficult as I wasn't used to what the lack of oxygen would do my body as I muscled my way to the top. I ended up getting pretty sick because I and climbing partner overexerted ourselves on the way up.
