December of 2006 to allow midsize outdoor sporting goods dealers to compete online with the big box stores.

Outdoor Business Network provides turn key website solutions to midsize outdoor sporting goods dealers.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

Helping those with little knowledge of the internet to succeede.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

Helping other small business' obtain their goals online.

What was your biggest mistake?

None.

Who maintains your website and why?

Outdoor Business Network maintains and operations our own website and our dealer network.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

Any business can benefit from a website.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

The internet and e-commerce will continue to grow in the future.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

SEO is needed and a requirement for any compettitive online business.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

Search engines are an essential part of the web.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

SEO, PPC, Email Marketing, ect.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

All methods used have been successful so far.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Nothing. I wish it to continue to grow with more and more people involved in submitting content.

Since early 1996.

When did you start your website and why?

Started the site a month ago to cater to the plentiful fisherman and boaters in the Pacific Northwest.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

The site has a landing page where you can sign up for a free report on boat financing and a free newsletter with 13 category links to the other pages. Each page is packed with articles and information on that specific category.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The hardest part has been the marketing and getting the link buildup to get the site rated.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The easiest part was uploading it and setting up the all the different settings involved, but it was a great learning experience and for that reason fun!

What was your biggest mistake?

Using a cheaper hosting company in the beginning.

Who maintains your website and why?

I do, because my goal is to build many websites in many different niche markets.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

This has been the beginning so the knowledge has been the most beneficial part to this point.

What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?

I think it is exploding with opportunitites everywhere, it does take time though, don't believe all the gurus and their hype on certain products.

What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

It is vital part of any website whether you want to supply merchandise or content.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

So far they haven't helped too much.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Directory submission has worked the best so far, however I am going to start an article submission campaign next.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Direct search engine submission has been the least effective.

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

I think quicker site indexing by the big search engines would be great! It can kill you to wait 6 months to be indexed.
