    Name of your website?

    "Shearwater" the luxury charter boat

    Your name?

    alan gray

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Mynytho (near Pwllheli)

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We operate a superb charter boat and we take our guests to see fantastic wildlife and awesome scenery along the Llyn Peninsula coastline of North Wales. We have resident dolphins, seals and seabirds. The dolphins are a main feature of our cruises because they actually seek out the boat as they just love to ride the bow-wave. We are about to get a new boat, which will be fitted with underwater cameras. We also conduct scuba diving charters along the same coastline.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was a vehicle to not only attract customers, but to display the superb wildlife images that we take daily.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

the same website was launched in 2002

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We just included the name of the boat

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I think our images get closer to nature than the average you see on the web. They are totally natural, un-contrived and spectacular.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Just carry on doing what we do until our ashes are scattered in the very environment that we spend our lives in.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Success, in the everyday sense of the word is not something that we pursue. Our success happens every day. We take paying customers out to sea to enjoy the same things that we enjoy to the point that it makes up our lives. These customers actually pay for our enjoyment - not much more than that actually. Profit is not a consideration. We get enough 'profit' from meeting people and showing them fabulous sights.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

    Nothing would change

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

    Would not welcome overbearing demand

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Keeping the thing going when weather conditions don't allow us to go out to sea for weeks on end (not very often thankfully).

What has been your biggest challenge?

    Getting started

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

    linking

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

    it has not

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

    2002 until death

Would you do anything else in the world?

    NO

    What is your website address?

    "Shearwater" the luxury charter boat

I have been on this charter boat and I can assure anyone, having watched marine nature from around the world, these people do it better than anyone else I have ever come across
