Having a deficit in experiencing the fine wonders of nature is not something a parent should overlook. When children are stuck behind the TV set or the video game all day long, that's only going to lead to future problems when it comes to being active in society. Bill Schneider talks about how being an outside child helped mold him into the appreciator of nature that he is today. The children of nowadays aren't as lucky, they seem to be more under a house-arrest type of lifestyle.
