White Bear Charters, Alaska's premier small group Halibut charter service

    Your name?

    David Nix

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Seward, Alaska

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website was designed to give a brief summary of our location and services, as well as contact information for those who would be interested in a charter fishing experience of a lifetime.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

With the power of the internet readily available it only made good business sense to get involved.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

May of 2003, it was Whitebearcharters.net

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We thought that simple would be best and gave it our name and description of service.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I would have to say the as far as the web site there would not be much difference but the service we provide with our product is what makes all the difference

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We intend to keep and maintain this website to further our business goals.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

At this point we have seen a varied response but our product is used purely on a seasonal basis.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I don't have an answer for that question.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

    yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Web hosting set up time was the only real problem.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the hosting company to answer the phone.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

    SEO

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

    No real differences.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We have had the site a couple of years and will keep it indefinitely.

    What is your website address?
