Outdoorzy the Blog was initially created to post news on how things were going with the creation of Outdoorzy.com our parent site. Once that site went live though and members started joining and keeping it fresh the blog became more focused on outdoor news tidbits. Now we do everything from gear reviews to tips on how to be more green.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
We are trying to keep the outdoor community informed and entertained. We post fun stuff as well as informative pieces.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Wordpress. We've used it on other blogs and love it. Plus they release updates regularly which allows us to keep up with the latest innovations.
What do you blog the most about?
Outdoor News.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Blogs that use RSS to feed ALL their content. C'mon people, can't you come up with an original thought?

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
We started blogging to support Outdoorzy.com, which isn't making us rich by any means. But we continue to blog because we love it and we have a small following.
How long have you been blogging?
A little over a year.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
One
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
We just started tracking them recently. I'll have to get back to you on that.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
We do. Some of our posts get ranked well due to Digg references.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Freebies baby! Everybody wants something for free.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Treehugger.com
They're my new hero. Anybody who can build up great content and a great following like that... oh and sell their blog for 10 MILLION bucks deserves some respect.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Don't publish until you proofread it out loud.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
Yeah I met a reader recently at a triathlon. Great guy! And I think we'll be hanging out offline sometimes as he only lives 2 hours away.

It's a social network for people who lead an active outdoor lifestyle. Think Myspace, except for outdoorzy people.
